| TOP TIPS FROM ANNA RYDER RICHARDSON |
1. Nature is a really big influence in interiors at the moment, and it can be particularly seen in the colours that are this year’s favourites. Jump on this trend and inject some teal green or berry colours into your home.
2. When adding features to your room, such as wall hangings or paintings, the rule of three is something you should follow. It brings impact and symmetry to the feature, and draws the viewer’s eye.
3. Little hiccups always happen when you’re re-decorating, or moving your furniture around – whether it’s splashes of paint, or scuffs on your wooden floor. I always keep a WD-40 Magic Pen in my kitchen drawer to help get rid of those annoying marks which can affect the overall look of your creative genius!
4. If you want to breathe a new lease of life into a tired room, I’d always recommend splurging on a good rug – it’s like a great piece of artwork on your floor!
5. Don’t be afraid to mix different textures; with nature being a big influence, it’s right on trend to mix organic materials with more contemporary ones, like stainless steel, and glass. |
