Sales for wooden flooring have increased massively over recent years as the natural wood look takes over as the nation’s favourite in flooring. The drawback to hard surface flooring, however, is how to keep them scuff mark free.
The simplest, most effective way of removing dirty marks caused by shoes and trainers is with WD-40.
DIY expert 'Handy' Andy Kane has come up with some top tips for keeping your floors looking great. Says Andy: "WD-40 is a hard floor’s best friend. Just spray the mark with WD-40 and then polish off with a soft duster. It's also the easiest way of removing marks from tiled or ceramic flooring".
"You can use WD-40 to clean loads of other floor stains. I use it to:
- Remove scuff marks from ceramic tile floors
- Clean black streaks from hardwood floors
- Remove paint from tile flooring
- Clean chewing gum from lino flooring
- Remove felt pen marks from floors
