PREVENTION BETTER THAN CURE WITH WD-40!
Dipping temperatures and falling leaves are just some of the treats in store for us during the Autumn season.

Ignoring damage caused by the dirtiest of weathers can lead to problems later on with blocked drains and gutters, leaking roofs and rusted equipment - a costly exercise!

So before the weather gets even worse, it's worth getting to grips with a few jobs around the home and garden and investing in a trusty partner who can help you do the job quickly and efficiently: WD-40.

WD-40 multi-purpose spray has been helping lubricate, clean and protect around the house, garden and garage for 50 years. It has over 2000 uses and more are being discovered every day by a loyal legion of fans around the globe.

Here are five ways in which WD-40 can help you prepare for the colder months ahead and save you a lot of time and expense in the long run:
  • Golden leaves may look pretty on the trees but they're a nuisance when they block your gutter or drain. Use WD-40 to fully remove debris from these vulnerable areas and prevent blocking

  • Shed or garage roofs should always be fully inspected for possible leakage before the wet weather arrives. Re-roofing can be a dirty business so to remove tar from shoes, carpets and lino use WD-40

  • If you've invested in a good set of tools they should last you years - but only if you take good care of them. Before digging use WD-40 to stop mud from sticking to your spade and use again after you have finished to provide a protective coating which will fight off rust and corrosion during the damp winter months of shed hibernation

  • Metal hinges on garden gates and doors are prone to corrosion because of the wet weather. Prevent sleepless nights and annoyed neighbours with a generous spray of WD-40
For a glorious garden in the spring cut back your plants and shrubs now. Hedge trimmers or sheers are the best tools for the job. Keep them in good nick with regular coatings of WD-40 on the hinges and blades. It will protect them from damp and prevent rust and corrosion.
